Details

A single composite fencing board in a clean, contemporary light grey — built to last without any upkeep.

This is a single co-extrusion WPC fencing board in Light Grey with a Gneiss-inspired surface design and Waterflow Grain texture. Sold individually so you order exactly what your project needs.

What Makes This a Co-Extrusion Board

Standard WPC boards are a straightforward blend of wood fibre and plastic with no surface protection. Co-extrusion adds a polymer shell fused around the composite core on all sides during manufacturing. That outer layer is what sets these boards apart — it locks in the colour, blocks moisture, and resists scratching and surface wear far better than first-generation WPC. The result is a board that performs better and looks better for significantly longer.

The Light Grey Gneiss Finish

Light Grey is one of the most versatile colours for garden fencing in the UK — it sits comfortably against brick, render, timber, and stone without competing with any of them. The Gneiss-inspired design references the natural variation found in grey metamorphic stone, giving each board a subtle tonal depth that plain solid colours lack. The Waterflow Grain texture adds a fine linear detail across the surface, keeping the overall look refined and contemporary rather than flat or plastic.

Where to Use It

Garden privacy fencing, patio screens, driveway boundaries, pool surrounds, and commercial outdoor enclosures. Light Grey works particularly well alongside anthracite window frames, grey paving, rendered exterior walls, and contemporary landscaping — one of the most popular colour choices for modern UK gardens.

Low Maintenance

No painting, treating, or sealing required. The co-extrusion surface resists mould, moisture, and UV fading year-round. A periodic rinse with a hose or a wipe with a soft brush keeps it looking sharp.

Important: This listing is for a single board. Posts, rails, and fixings are sold separately. Order all boards in one batch to ensure colour consistency across your project.

Key Features
  • 2nd Generation Co-Extrusion WPC Polymer shell fused to the composite core for superior UV resistance, colour retention, and moisture protection versus standard WPC.

  • Tongue & Groove Profile Boards interlock cleanly without visible fixings for a tight, seamless fence face.
  • 100% Weatherproof Fully waterproof, rot-proof, and fire resistant. Will not warp, crack, swell, or splinter in UK conditions.
  • UV Resistant Co-extrusion outer layer actively prevents colour fade and surface degradation from sun exposure.
  • Zero Maintenance No painting, staining, or treating — ever.
  • Eco-Friendly Made from recycled wood fibre and plastic composite — a sustainable, long-life alternative to virgin timber.
Installation Guide

Tools Required
Tape measure, pencil, hand saw or circular saw, drill, spirit level, rubber mallet.

Step 1 – Plan Your Layout
Measure your fencing run. Each board has an effective width of 151.6mm. A standard 1.8m high bay needs 12 boards. Order all boards in one batch to ensure colour consistency.

Step 2 – Set Posts and Rails
Install posts no more than 1800mm apart, set in concrete and fully cured. Fix the bottom rail first and confirm it is level.

Step 3 – Insert the First Board
Slide the first board into the bottom rail channel and check it is vertical with a spirit level.

Step 4 – Stack Remaining Boards
Slot each board into the groove of the one below. Press firmly together — use a rubber mallet and offcut block to protect the surface. Boards should connect cleanly without forcing.

Step 5 – Fix the Top Rail
Secure the top rail once all boards are in place to lock the stack.

Step 6 – Final Check and Trimming
Check the full run is level and plumb. Trim boards to width at end posts if needed using a circular saw.

Important Notes

  • Leave a 5mm expansion gap at each end of the run for temperature movement.
  • Keep boards at least 50mm clear of soil level.
  • Boards may lighten slightly over the first 3–6 months of UV exposure before reaching their permanent tone. This is normal for all WPC products.
