Details

A single composite fencing board with the warm tone of teak and none of the maintenance.

This is a single co-extrusion WPC fencing board in Teak A with a Gneiss Grain surface design. If you want the rich, natural look of hardwood fencing without the painting, treating, and inevitable rot, this is the practical alternative. Sold individually so you order exactly what you need.

What Makes This a Co-Extrusion Board

Standard WPC is a basic blend of wood fibre and plastic — functional, but unprotected on the surface. Co-extrusion bonds a tough polymer shell around the composite core on all sides during manufacturing. That outer layer is what protects the colour from UV damage, keeps moisture out, and resists surface scratching over time. These boards are built to stay looking good for significantly longer than first-generation WPC alternatives.

The Teak Gneiss Grain Finish

Teak is one of the most sought-after timber tones for garden fencing — warm, rich, and naturally inviting. The Gneiss Grain surface design replicates the organic variation found in natural stone and wood grain, giving each board tonal depth and character. The result is a fence that reads as a premium natural material from a distance, with all the practical benefits of composite up close.

Where to Use It

Garden privacy fencing, patio screens, driveway boundaries, pool surrounds, and commercial outdoor spaces. Teak tones work particularly well alongside natural stone paving, warm brick, wooden garden furniture, and planting-heavy garden schemes where a warmer, more natural palette is preferred over cool greys.

Low Maintenance

No painting, oiling, treating, or sealing — ever. Unlike real teak or hardwood fencing which requires annual treatment to prevent greying and rot, this board needs nothing beyond an occasional rinse. The co-extrusion surface handles UV exposure, moisture, and general weathering on its own.

Important: This listing is for a single board. Posts, rails, and fixings are sold separately. Order all boards in one batch to ensure colour consistency across your project.

Key Features
  • 2nd Generation Co-Extrusion WPC Polymer shell fused to the composite core for superior UV resistance, colour retention, and moisture protection versus standard WPC boards.
  • Teak Gneiss Grain Finish Warm natural timber tone with organic surface variation and depth. Looks premium from both sides.
  • Tongue & Groove Profile Boards interlock cleanly without visible fixings for a tight, seamless fence face.
  • 100% Weatherproof Fully waterproof, rot-proof, and fire resistant. Will not warp, crack, swell, or splinter in UK conditions.
  • UV Resistant Co-extrusion outer layer actively prevents colour fade and surface degradation from sun exposure.
  • Zero Maintenance No painting, oiling, or treating required at any point — unlike real timber.
  • Eco-Friendly Made from recycled wood fibre and plastic composite — a sustainable alternative to hardwood timber fencing with a far longer lifespan.
Installation Guide

Tools Required
Tape measure, pencil, hand saw or circular saw, drill, spirit level, rubber mallet.

Step 1 – Plan Your Layout
Measure your fencing run. Each board has an effective width of 151.6mm. A standard 1.8m high bay needs 12 boards. Order all boards in one batch to ensure colour consistency.

Step 2 – Set Posts and Rails
Install posts no more than 1800mm apart, set in concrete and fully cured. Fix the bottom rail first and confirm it is level.

Step 3 – Insert the First Board
Slide the first board into the bottom rail channel and check it is vertical with a spirit level.

Step 4 – Stack Remaining Boards
Slot each board into the groove of the one below. Press firmly together — use a rubber mallet and offcut block to protect the surface. Boards should connect cleanly without forcing.

Step 5 – Fix the Top Rail
Secure the top rail once all boards are in place to lock the stack.

Step 6 – Final Check and Trimming
Check the full run is level and plumb. Trim boards to width at end posts if needed using a circular saw.

Important Notes

  • Leave a 5mm expansion gap at each end of the run for temperature movement.
  • Keep boards at least 50mm clear of soil level.
  • Boards may lighten slightly over the first 3–6 months of UV exposure before reaching their permanent tone. This is normal for all WPC products.
