Details

Silver is the finish that disappears into a kitchen — in the best possible way. It doesn't compete with the cabinetry, the worktop, or the appliances. It just makes the wall look like it was always meant to be there.

The Slate Diamond pattern adds the detail that keeps it from being plain. A geometric diamond layout pressed into the aluminium surface creates texture and shadow — so the wall catches light differently depending on where you stand, and what could have been a flat metallic panel becomes something with real presence.

At 4.5 mm thick, it's the most substantial tile in the Britwall range. You notice it the moment you press it to the wall — there's no flex, no give, nothing cheap about the result.

How many packs do you need? Each pack covers approximately 0.35 m². A standard splashback behind a hob or sink typically needs 2–3 packs. Measure your wall area and divide by 0.35 — then add one extra pack for cuts and trimming.

What you get Four aluminium tiles, each measuring 295 × 295 × 4.5 mm. Self-adhesive backing. No grout, no tile adhesive, no specialist tools required.

Where it works Kitchen splashbacks — silver sits cleanly alongside every cabinetry colour, from white and cream to charcoal and navy. Bathroom walls and vanity surrounds. Feature walls in hallways, offices, and living areas. Commercially — cafés, salons, barber shops, offices, and retail spaces where a clean, sleek metallic wall finish does the job without drawing the wrong kind of attention.

For renters No drilling, no tile adhesive, no lasting marks. Goes up on a clean wall and comes off at the end of the tenancy without a trace.

Key Features
  • Silver Slate Diamond Pattern — Texture That Works With Any Kitchen — A geometric diamond layout pressed into the aluminium surface creates depth, shadow, and light movement that a flat tile simply can't deliver. Silver is the most versatile finish in the range — it sits naturally alongside stainless steel appliances, white cabinetry, dark cabinetry, and everything in between.
  • 4.5 mm Thick — The Most Substantial Tile in the Britwall Range — Extra thickness means real rigidity on the wall, better heat and moisture resistance, and a finish that looks and feels properly installed. The difference between this and a thinner alternative is noticeable the moment it goes up.
  • Peel & Stick — No Grout, No Tradesman, Done in Under an Hour — Self-adhesive backing. Apply to any clean, smooth, dry surface. No cement, no tile adhesive, no curing time. Most standard splashback projects — 2–3 packs behind a hob — are completed comfortably in under an hour.
  • Heat & Moisture Resistant — Real aluminium built specifically for kitchen and bathroom conditions. Handles hob proximity, steam, cooking splashes, and regular wiping without peeling, warping, or losing the silver finish over time.
  • Deposit-Safe for Renters — No permanent damage to the wall beneath. Removes cleanly when the tenancy ends — one of the few splashback upgrades that genuinely works for renters, landlords, and homeowners alike.
Installation Guide

Before you start
Wipe the wall with a mild degreaser and let it dry fully — grease or dust will stop the adhesive bonding. Works on painted walls, existing flat tiles, plasterboard, and MDF. Not suitable for textured or damp surfaces. Wait at least 4 weeks after fresh paint.

How many packs?
Measure your wall area in m² and divide by 0.35. Order one extra pack to account for cuts around sockets, corners, and edges.

Laying the tiles
Mark a centre line and work outward — the diamond pattern is directional and needs to be balanced to read correctly across the wall. Peel one tile at a time, align carefully before touching the wall, then press firmly from the centre outward. Run your palm or a roller across the full tile with firm, even pressure to ensure full adhesion.

Cutting to fit
Score firmly with a Stanley knife and a metal straight edge, then snap. The 4.5 mm aluminium cuts cleanly without cracking. Freehand cuts around sockets and edges work well with heavy-duty scissors.

Finishing
Apply a thin bead of clear silicone along the bottom edge where the tile meets the worktop or sink. Keeps moisture out, stops edges lifting over time, and gives the whole installation a clean, sharp finish.
