PVC Shower Panels
9 questions

Yes — fully waterproof throughout the entire panel thickness. No wood fibres that could absorb moisture. Safe for shower enclosures, wet rooms, bath surrounds and high-humidity environments.

No grout — the biggest advantage. Grout harbours mould and requires constant cleaning. PVC panels create a seamless, grout-free surface.

  • Install in hours, not days — no drying time
  • No grout lines to scrub or regrout
  • Fully waterproof throughout
  • Can be installed directly over existing tiles

Yes — provided existing tiles are firmly fixed, flat, clean and completely degreased. This avoids the cost and disruption of tile removal.

We recommend Froggit White Multipurpose Wall Panel Adhesive (£10 per pack of 2 at britwall.com). Apply in a zig-zag pattern. Seal all joints with White or Clear Silicone Sealant — never decorator's caulk.

Each panel is 2400×1000mm (2.4m² coverage). Measure each wall, add total m², divide by 2.4, round up and add 10% for waste. A standard three-wall shower typically needs 3–4 panels.

  • Light Beige Herringbone — best selling finish
  • Concrete Beige Matt — understated, minimal
  • Carrara Marble Grey Glossy — timeless luxury
  • Brick Light Grey — textured brick effect
  • Dark Grey Hexagon — bold geometric statement

Score firmly with a straight edge and sharp Stanley knife, then snap cleanly. Alternatively use a fine-tooth saw. Always seal cut edges with silicone after fitting.

  • White Internal Corner Trim 2400×10mm — £8
  • White External Corner Trim 2400×10mm — £8
  • White End Cap Trim 2400×10mm — £7.50

Yes — fire retardant and self-extinguishing, typically rated Class B-s1,d0 under BS EN 13501-1, meeting UK building regulations for domestic bathrooms.

Section 03
Slat Wall Panels
5 questions

All standard slat panels are 2400×250×20mm at £60 per panel:

  • 3-Slat: Bold and wide — maximum visual impact. Best for dramatic feature walls.
  • 4-Slat: Balanced — the most popular choice.
  • 6-Slat: Fine and layered — works well in smaller spaces.
  • LS (Large Slat): Single oversized slat — most architectural, minimal aesthetic.

TV media walls, bedroom headboard walls, living room accent walls, office receptions, restaurants.

NOT suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor areas.

Each panel is 250mm wide. Measure wall width in metres, divide by 0.25, round up, add one extra for waste. Example: 2.4m wall ÷ 0.25 = 10 panels + 1 = 11 panels.

Standard: Black Wood, Grey Oak, Warm Walnut, Natural Oak. Curved panels: Black, Navy, Duck Egg, Taupe, Cream, White.

Yes — our ENER-J Smart LED Strip Kit fits within the grooves. App controlled, Alexa & Google Home compatible. 2-piece kit £100, 4-piece kit £125.

Section 04
PU Stone & Brick Panels
7 questions
No. PU panels are for interior feature walls only. NOT waterproof. Do not use in bathrooms, wet rooms, or humid areas. Use our PVC Shower Panels for wet areas.

Extremely realistic — moulds are taken from actual natural stone and brick. The 3D relief creates authentic shadow and depth. Many visitors cannot distinguish them from real stone at normal viewing distance.

With caution. PU is combustible. For modern enclosed electric or gas fires, maintain required clearance distances. For open-hearth fires, use genuine non-combustible material as a border between the panel and firebox.

No — interior use only. UV radiation degrades the finish and freeze-thaw cycles can crack the foam. For exterior walls, see our Composite Cladding range.

Apply Froggit Wall Panel Adhesive to the back, press firmly against the wall. Cut with a Stanley knife (score and snap), fine-tooth saw, or jigsaw. No specialist tools required.

  • Hard PU Stone Panels: Rigid, 3D textured, 20–60mm thick. Best for flat walls.
  • Flexible PU (RockFlex): Only 3–4mm thin, fully flexible — wraps around curved walls, columns and archways.

Each pack covers 1.44m² (2 panels). Measure width × height = m², divide by 1.44, round up to whole packs, add 10% for waste.

Section 05
SPC / LVT Flooring
8 questions

Yes — fully waterproof. The stone-polymer composite core contains no wood fibres and cannot absorb moisture, swell or warp. Suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and conservatories.

Yes, but maximum subfloor surface temperature must not exceed 27°C. Turn off UFH 48 hours before installation and 48 hours after. Increase temperature by no more than 1–2°C per day.

Yes — leave boxes unopened in the installation room for a minimum of 48 hours at 16–27°C before fitting. This step is critical and frequently skipped.

The subfloor must be flat to within 3mm over a 2-metre radius. Timber floors: overlay with 6mm flooring-grade plywood. Concrete: fill divots with self-levelling compound.

Never install over OSB, particle board or Luan — these cause long-term joint failure.

Yes — all Britwall SPC flooring includes a pre-attached 1mm IXPE acoustic underlay. No separate underlay is needed.

Format Size Coverage Price
Stone Tile 620×310×5.35mm 1.92m² £58
Wood Plank 1220×181×5.35mm 2.2m² £66
Herringbone 625×125×6mm 1.72m² £52

Length × width = total m². Divide by pack coverage, round up, add 10% waste (15% for herringbone). Contact us with your room dimensions for a precise calculation.

Sweep or vacuum regularly. Mop with warm water and pH-neutral floor cleaner.

Never use steam mops — the heat damages click-joints over time.
Section 06
Composite Decking
7 questions

Yes — from temperature fluctuations. Always leave a 3–6mm expansion gap between boards and at butt-ends against walls.

Failure to leave adequate expansion gaps will cause boards to buckle in summer heat — this is an installation error, not a product defect.

No. Our boards have a 3D embossed slip-resistant surface meeting HSE-recommended Pendulum Test Values (PTV ≥36) for low slip risk in wet conditions.

Never. The colour is factory-applied and UV-stable. Maintenance is limited to sweeping and a twice-yearly wash.

Never sand composite decking — it permanently destroys the protective polymer capping.

Britwall composite decking carries a 10-year warranty against fading and structural defects. The practical lifespan regularly exceeds 20–30 years.

Use Britwall stainless steel hidden fixing clips (£2 per pack). These slot between boards and fix to the joist below, creating a screw-free surface. Install on treated timber or aluminium joists at maximum 500mm centres.

No. Under post-Grenfell UK Building Regulations (Approved Document B), standard composite decking is prohibited on balconies exceeding 18 metres. For standard residential gardens it is completely safe.

Yes, over time. Timber requires roughly £150+ per year in chemical treatments. Composite requires zero chemical maintenance, making it highly economical over any period exceeding 5–7 years.

Section 07
Installation & Tools
5 questions

No specialist tools required. All you need: tape measure, spirit level, fine-tooth hand saw or Stanley knife, drill/driver, and silicone/caulk gun.

Froggit White Multipurpose Wall Panel Adhesive — available at britwall.com for £10 per pack of 2. For wet area joints: White or Clear Silicone Sealant, also £10 per pack of 2.

Never. Damp walls must be identified, treated and fully dried before any panel installation. Installing over damp traps moisture, causing mould and adhesive failure. Call us for advice on +44 020 4579 3704.

Yes — provided tiles are firmly fixed, flat, clean and completely degreased. For floors: yes, if grout joints are no deeper than 3mm.

  • Measure each area: width × height = m²
  • Total all areas together
  • Divide by pack coverage (shown on product listing)
  • Round up to the next whole pack
  • Add 10% for cuts and waste (15% for herringbone/diagonal)
Section 08
Acoustic Panels
4 questions

Yes — for the right application. They reduce echo and reverberation within a room. Most effective in home cinemas, recording studios, open-plan kitchens and offices.

They treat sound within a room. They will not soundproof against external noise — that requires mass and decoupling.
  • Linear panels (2400×600×21mm, pack of 2, 2.88m²): Full-height panels for a dramatic floor-to-ceiling effect. £120–140.
  • Geometric panels (600×600mm, pack of 4): Square tiles for flexible arrangement. £100.

Yes — our ENER-J Smart LED Strip Kit fits within the grooves of Britwall acoustic panels. Creates a dramatic backlit effect. App controlled, Alexa & Google Home compatible. 2-piece kit £100, 4-piece kit £125.

Yes — all Britwall acoustic panels carry fire resistance ratings suitable for interior use. Check individual product listings for specific fire class certification.
